Chakras 101: What They Are + Why You Should Care

The Chakras (A Sanskrit term), “chakra” means spinning wheel, vortex or disk. There are 7 main chakras in the human body and each one is responsible for supplying their energy to specific organs. While the meridians transport the energy to the organs, the chakras infuse the organs with their energy. Each chakra governs certain specific emotions… transcendence, comprehension, expression, love, identity, creativity and suMain-Chakra-Centers-of-the-Bodyrvival.

Every emotion you feel is inscribed in the energy of the chakra. Every disease is rooted in the blockage of energy flow at some or other level. The blockage would manifest itself in negative emotions, which if investigated closely would point out the exact point of the energy blockage. It is important that you understand that the auras and chakras are a bio-electric energy cover that is NOT created by the body, but rather CREATES the body. While the human body is physical, the chakras, which are made of energy and light, are not physical.

The Universe does really reposition itself to match your view of reality. This is why it is so important that you focus on what you want and not what you lack. It is also important that you encourage and support positive thoughts and eliminate all negative thoughts and feelings as soon as possible from your heart and mind. No matter how much you try, unless you have reached the enlightenment level, you will be affected by your experiences in day-to-day life. It is important therefore that you cleanse your own aura and chakras as often as possible so as not to carry it onwards to the 12th chakra and transform the negativity into reality.

Your aura protects your energy system and unless you keep it clean, it will affect not only your health but also the way you perceive reality.
The good news is that it is relatively easy to cleanse the energy channels. INTENT is the key and you can use it in your meditations and cleansing rituals to ensure that your thoughts remain positive because energy follows your thoughts and becomes your reality.
It is easy to change the path of your life, the way you feel, what you get – in other words you can completely change your reality to match your desires. All you need to do is change the way you think and BELIEVE. Your reality will be shaped by the message you are sending through your chakras and to the 12th Chakra.
This is why it is important to cleanse your chakras and auras of negative energy and blockages so the energy flow is uninterrupted and you are able to focus on positive aspects forming exclusively positive thoughts. This will help resolve negative emotions, which when left untreated form toxic build-up in your energy field. Do it often. All you need to do is project the intent and believe that it is done.
Sound, color, visualization and meditation are all methods of cleansing the mind and increasing the vibration of the body. Tools such as pendulums and crystals are also often used. Be aware that sometimes the cleansing process, especially of the heart and solar plexus chakras will awaken long forgotten and buried emotional hurt. Do not stop. Visualize wiping off the hurt and negative emotions and move on. Sometimes, you might need a few sessions until you get rid of all the negativity in your energy cycle. If you look at the whole picture, you will realize that in this basic system you have the key to health, happiness and whatever you desire.

As previously mentioned, in most cases we talk about 7 chakras, which is accurate and correct. These chakras are situated in the human body starting with the lowest (the 1st or root charka) to the highest (the 7th or crown chakra). There are however, 5 more chakras that are situated above the 7th one, which are also known as the “spiritual chakras”.

  • The 8th Chakra, which is actually just below your feet, represents the dimension of unlimited possibility.
  • The 9th Chakra or the Etheric Chakra, which is the causal plane situated just above your head, represents the domain of all possible things.
  • The 10th Chakra or the Real Self Chakra, which represents the transcendent self is situated above the 9th Chakra.
  • The 11th Chakra or the Soul Chakra, which represents your spiritual self is situated above the 10th Chakra.
  • The 12th Chakra or the Divine Gateway Chakra, which represents God or the Highest Consciousness is situated above the 11th Chakra.
